Churwalden is located in the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area. The ski area is 0.4 km from the town center and with 225 km of pistes and 43 cable cars, Arosa Lenzerheide is the largest winter sports arena in Graubünden. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy many ski slopes and there are also many great cross-country slopes. In summer, guests can refresh themselves at the Heidsee in Lenzerheide and downhill fans can enjoy various routes on the world-famous Rothorn (World Cup). The area also offers many mountain bike trails. For families with children, we have the longest toboggan run in Europe in Churwalden, as well as a Zipline, which is great fun for both children and adults. On a hot day, visit our local outdoor pool in Churwalden and relax with a book in hand. Churwalden is 1200m high in the middle of the mountains and still only 10 kilometers from the historic city of Chur, where you can stroll through the beautiful historic streets and enjoy a coffee or cake. A fantastic place for an active outdoor holiday, but if it’s a bad weather day, visit the sports center with a wellness pool in Lenzerheide.

The Accommodation

The apartment is in a beautiful spot with an unobstructed view on all sides. Although you are only 15 minutes from a major city, you are still in the middle of the Alps. With a view of the Parpaner Schwarzhorn, Weisshorn, and Rothorn, all of which are well over 2500m.

The home bakery Doris Strickerin is a small bakery across from the Coop in Churwalden. She bakes delicious bread on Thursday, it’s pizza day with her. In Malix before the bridge on the right you will find the “Farm Shop” The Farm Shop is a self-service shop where the local farmers sell their cheese, eggs, butter and other producers. A very nice alternative to the supermarket.
